Veer Gatha 3.0
Veer Gatha 3.0 is a project launched by the Government of India as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) to commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence. The initiative aims to inspire school children by making them aware of the stories of national heroes and brave hearts, disseminating their acts of bravery and life stories.
Key Highlights:
- Participation: Open to all school students from standard 3 to 12 across India.
- Activities: Students participate in various activities such as poems, essays, stories, drawings, and multimedia presentations based on gallantry award winners.
- Categories:
- Class 3 to 5: Poem/Paragraph (150 words), Painting/Drawing, Multimedia Presentation/Video.
- Class 6 to 8: Poem/Paragraph (300 words), Painting/Drawing, Multimedia Presentation/Video.
- Class 9 to 10: Poem/Essay (750 words), Painting/Drawing, Multimedia Presentation/Video.
- Class 11 to 12: Poem/Essay (1000 words), Painting/Drawing, Multimedia Presentation/Video.
Objectives:
- Promote Patriotism: Encourage students to learn about and be inspired by the bravery of gallantry award winners.
- Creative Expression: Provide a platform for students to express their creativity through various media.
- Recognition: Best projects are awarded at the national level by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education.
Timeline:
- 28 July to 30 September 2023: Conduct of activities at the school level.
- 31 August to 15 September 2023: Schools upload the best entries on the MyGov portal.
- 17 September to 17 October 2023: District level evaluation of entries.
- 19 October to 10 November 2023: State level evaluation of entries.
- 10 November to 10 December 2023: National level evaluation of entries.
- By 20 December 2023: Announcement of results.
